BLUE GROTTO:
the parc is located 10 minutes by walk by the Blue Grotto, a magic, no word or image could ever describe. Its a 60-metre long, 25-metre-wide cavity, to get into it you need to take one of the small rowing boats moored outside the cave.This very underwater entrance allows the blue coloration of the water inside the grotto, due to a phenomenon of the sunlight reflection.There is an almost surreal view inside the transparency and the blue colour of the water give us the impression of navigating through a clear sky, and the boats seem to float on a fantastic universe. The Blue Grotta has been known since the Roman times, and Emperor Tiberius chose it as his own personal nymphaeum, Roman monumental fountain, translator note. Tour of the cave are always possible due to the specilal light conditions, and you can get a particularly intense blue. Bathing is allowed only after 6 pm, and if you do, you will not find it hard to imagine a unique experience such as a bath in these waters as those of Emperor Tiberius, to feel its enchantment. There are many tales and legends about this cave, when you see it, you will believe the unbelievable and become part of the legend yourself.

VILLA DAMECUTA, Damecuta Tower:
3 minutes by walk from the villa and you will be facing a unique imperial villa, among the findings salvaged from recent excavations, are fragments of columns made from Greek marble. These point to the villa s rich decor of marble floors, stucco work, decorations and works of art. The panoramic loggia of the villa is still preserved and reflects a structure similiar to that of the imperial loggia at Villa Jovis. Located to the far west of the imperial villa, 151 metres above the sea level, Damecuta Tower was originally built to defend the island from the raids of Saracen pirates in the twelfth century. It was later used as a fort by the English during the war against the French Bourbons when it was partially destroyed. Amongst the artefacts uncovered here are a Greek inscription from a sepulchre, green marble columns, an ancient Egyptian "cipollino" marble column with capital and base and the remains of plundered floors.

MOUNT SOLARO, CHAIRLIFT:
It is the highestplace on the island (589 metres above sea level). You can either walk there or take the chairlift.The chairlift station is in Piazza Vittoria, Anacapri’s main center, and allows you to reach the top quite quickly while you enjoy a splendid view of Anacapri and the gulf of Naples. The way back on foot is one of the most walks on the island. The quite smooth route allows also a visdit to Cetrella, where you can admire the church of S.Maria.
