La Pigna:
The restaurant is opened since 1875, dining here has been like attending a garden party. The owner loves flowers almost as much as good food, and the greenhouse ambience includes purple petunias, red geraniums, bougainvillea, and lemon trees. Much of the produce comes from the restaurant’s gardens in Anacapri. Try the penne tossed in eggplant sauce, the chicken supreme with mushrooms, or the herb-stuffed rabbit, or perhaps scialatielli (a local home-made pasta) with fruits of the sea, or local fish caprese (pezzogna). The dessert specialty is an almond-and-chocolate torte. Another specialty is the limoncello, homemade liqueurs, one of which is distilled from local lemons.
